Established in 2009, and in the building business for 4-+ years, Peech Design and Build has worn many hats to fulfill market conditions and needs.
From its inception as an investment ‘fix & flip’ business, through the Bigfoot home phase, alongside countless remodeling projects of all shapes and sizes, there have been hundreds of opportunities to learn, grow and become great builders.
As we now focus our residential sector on custom home design & build and complex remodeling and addition projects, we carry those foundational principles with us through every project we perform.

OUR SUCCESS FORMULA
DISCOVERY
1. Meet with the Executive team to understand the intention and utilization of the project.
2. Establish project goals, timeline and budget.
3. Sketch siteplan, floorplan, and front elevation.
4. Formalize design and construction agreement and professional relationships.
PRE-CONSTRUCTION
1. Create storyboards for design asethetics and function that align with your family lifestyle.
2. Design siteplans, floorplans and engineering.
3. Work with local building officials to obtain permitting.
4. Develop a Specifications document that contains design elements, building materials, and site work/landscaping.
CONSTRUCTION
1. Asign project manager and coordinate with all trades and subcontractors.
2. Initiate project schedule and budget processes through customer online portal.
3. Execute all phases of building with quality control inspections.
4. Manage interior design if necessary – furnishings and decor
POST-CONSTRUCTION
1. Punchlist the project with customer and all relative trades.
2. Provide warranty for buildings and building systems.
3. Review upkeep and maintenance with customer.
If we had to choose only one focus, it would be ADA Accessibility and Aging in Place Homes in Asheville.
What we’ve learned by building ADA compliant and consulting with multiple folks with varying level of accessibility needs is that there are MANY circumstances that drift far beyond the code book to truly design and build for successful accessible living.
While we design and build to code, we always take the time to sit down with homeowners to understand their specific needs, and in this case, it’s a masterful study.
Similar to ADA, designing for Aging in Place has it’s importance in the building world. While it mostly defers to ADA code compliance, there’s little building code directed specifically towards Aging in Place design.
Therefore, we decided to work with elders and folks who have built and lived in these homes and actually ‘aged in the place’. The thought that can go into these builds is deep and wide, and can look different for different folks.
